Telecommunications company Tele2 has provided the first open low-power, wide-area (LWPA) network in Sweden, in the city of Gothenburg. Now the Tele2 IoT Challenge is asking the question that’s on many people’s minds: “LWPA networks exist. What do we do with them?” The contest management encourages everyone—from major corporations to startups to students—to brainstorm great uses for this new technology.
